Foos too good for German Juniors...

Dominic Foos continued his dominance of Junior Golf in Germany with a victory in the German Closed National Championships.

Dominic Foos completed his sweep of German National Junior Titles when he won the German Closed National Boys Championships at Golf Club Mühlheim an der Ruhr. Although he was competing in the U16 Division, Dominic’s 70-70-70 (-5) was one shot better than Max Herter, whose 67-72-73 (-4) won the U18 title. The one shot difference secured Foos the overall title as Germany’s best U18 golfer for 2012.

Earlier this year, Foos won the German Boys U18 Title and the German National Match Play Championships. Dominic had no time to enjoy his victory as he is off to compete in next week’s Jacques Léglise Trophy followed by playing for Europe in the Jr. Ryder Cup. Not bad for a young man just a few weeks shy of his 15th birthday.

The U14 Title went to last year’s winner Max Schmitt. Max defended his title by shooting 75-73-74 and a 7 shot victory over Felix Bode, Leonhard Studzinski and Nick Bachem.
