Foos Captures French Boys Crown
Dominic Foos ends a long week with a victory over Harry Ellis in the 36 hole match play final of the French Boys. Ellis came out of the gate fast and had Foos three down after 15 holes. Foos finished the first round strong and was just one down after the morning 18. The second round was all about patience and mental strength. Foos who is known as having extraordinary mental strengths, kept the heat on Ellis and was as much as four up on the back nine. Ellis fought back but it was a case of too little too late and Foos won 3/2.
Foos who does not turn 16 until September, now owns two of Europe’s most coveted U18 Titles. Ellis showed his form from 2012 was no flash in the pan and looks like he will continue to be a major force on the European U18 scene this year.
